Radiation Monitoring Devices, Inc., (RMD) is one of the foremost experts in the fields of radiation detection and imaging, nuclear instrumentation, and non-destructive test equipment. Since 1974 our mission has been to conduct world-class research and develop industry-leading commercial products. Today our research and products are utilized in a wide range of scientific fields, from space science to particle physics, and from nuclear security and safeguards to clinical diagnoses and environmental research.

U.S. government agencies, including the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Energy, the Department of Defense, the National Institute of Health, and The National Aeronautics and Space Administration support our work in developing specialized technologies to make the world a safer and healthier place. In recognition of our work and our outstanding contributions to the SBIR program, the U.S. Small Business Administration awarded RMD the National Tibbett’s Award in 2002 and again in 2012. RMD also received a Small Business Achievement Award from the Department of Homeland Security in 2011. RMD has been aggressive in transitioning technologies from R&D to products, successfully commercializing six new technologies over the last five years.
