A protected gold coating is ideal for applications requiring high reflectance in the Near Infrared (NIR) and Infrared (IR) wavelength range. Since a durable coating is necessary for many applications, we offer our gold mirrors with a protective overcoat. This protective dielectric overcoat is layered over the gold coat to protect it from damage and make cleaning easier. Like other mirrors with metallic coatings, these gold mirrors are relatively insensitive to angle of incidence.
