Protected Gold Mirror
A protected gold mirror coating is ideal for applications requiring high reflectance in the Near Infrared (NIR) and Infrared (IR) wavelengths. Gold mirrors are used in IR wavelengths when you want an aperture that is not possible to achieve out of a lens or you need to have a very flat spectral response curve (reflectivity vs. wavelength) over a large wavelength range.

Since a durable coating is necessary for most applications, EMF offers its protected gold mirrors with a dielectric overcoat. The overcoat is layered over the gold coating to protect it from damage and make cleaning easier. EMF gold mirrors are relatively insensitive to the angle of incidence.
