Protected Silver Mirror
EMF’s protected silver mirrors are used in high reflectance applications in the visible and infrared spectrum. EMF’s protected silver mirrors have an overcoat of SiO2 to increase durability and to meet the adhesion, abrasion, temperature and humidity requirements of MIL-M-13508C. Although the overcoat is helpful in protecting the silver layer from tarnishing, EMF’s protected silver mirrors are not recommended for use in high humidity environments.
