Dynasil, a multinational corporation headquartered in the US, is focused on cutting-edge research and commercial product development and sales. We serve our customer base through three companies — Dynasil Fused Silica, Hilger Crystals, and Radiation Monitoring Devices (RMD).

Dynasil Fused Silica is a global supplier of Corning HPFS® fused silica while Hilger Crystals and RMD are recognized worldwide as experts in radiation detection and high-speed imaging, nuclear instrumentation, and non-destructive testing and offer state-of-the-art scintillation and detection solutions.

Both Hilger Crystals and RMD produce and sell synthetic crystals and other scintillators, detectors, and arrays serving a worldwide market for these products.

Our integrated approach to engineering and manufacturing enables us to offer quick turnaround times even when faced with the toughest design challenges or supply chain issues. Manufacturing facilities across Massachusetts, New Jersey, and Margate (UK) provide nearly 100,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing space dedicated to helping our customers succeed — from prototype development through to high-volume commercial production.


Our 175-strong workforce includes researchers, scientists, and design and manufacturing engineers who bring innovative technologies and solutions to market through close customer collaboration. As next generation scintillators are developed, we work closely with instrument makers on the development of their products and fine tuning our scintillation detectors – packaged with SiPMs, CCDs, and PMTs – to fit their unique applications.
